Chapter 6, The Great Gatsby:

There was a story that Gatsby's house was on a boat and he moved up and down the shore

James Gatz was Gatsby, changed his name at 17, his career started when he saw Cody drop an anchor onshore
He took Gatsby on as his assistant and gave him the name Jay Gatsby

Dan Cody died inhospitably due to drinking too much

He is the reason why Gatsby drinks so little

Gatsby inherited 25k from him, didn't get it though Because of the mistress

Gatsby and others talk and a lady invites him to dinner

Tom talks saying how she doesn't want him to go and wonders how he knows daisy

Daisy goes to a party but tom goes with

As the party goes on Tom is inclined by Gatsby


Questions and answers:

Dan Cody was a rich man and met Gatsby. I think that because this name and Gatsby were close to seeing him die from alcoholism scares him to not get him to drink as much.

The conversation was awkward, like none of them wanted to talk or actually be around each other. They did see talk smack about each other back too.

It seems as if Daisy wanted to enjoy the party but since Tom was there she couldn't. It felt like he was in her shadow the whole time, not even allowing her to really decide if she liked the party or not.

I think he should look at the situation differently. Yes use money, but not to bribe or anything. O get the stuff to recreate it and don't go all out. Live it like you did then and not like now.
