Gatsby 5-26

In my English AP class, we started the Great Gatsby. My notes:

The father and nick relationship is on value
one of the values is to not criticize
nick says the young men are lying about there love stories
New Haven = Yale
The narrator and the family are very revered
giving the dog gave connection and draws us in to want to know more about him
Nick can get along with anyone
supercilious means to be too serious
fractiousness is to break things apart
Tom kind of selfish,  brags, racist, cheater?
Divan = phone,  wan = pale, languidly = too relaxed, claret = a type of wine, infinitesimal = very small,
Daisy is self-absorbed, always onto something else

(It is starting at 5 because the copy I have that is the first page)
